Proper Paver Installation

The foundation of a paver patio, walkway, or hardscape determines how long it will last. Without proper base preparation, pavers can settle or shift over time. At Colorado Custom Landscaping, we build from the ground up:

  • Compacted native soil (subgrade)

  • 3/4” crushed rock base

  • 3/8” leveling layer

  • Paver installation with edge restraint

  • Polymeric sand to lock joints

A properly compacted base provides structural support and allows water to drain beneath the patio — critical in Colorado’s freeze-thaw climate.

It’s not just about how a patio looks. It’s about how it’s built underneath.
